Program Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Performs and coordinates varied executive and administrative duties
  • Clerical support for the agency programs
  • Setup for meetings and events, including obtaining all needed supplies and materials
  • Order general agency supplies and maintain the supply area in an orderly manner
  • Compose professional correspondence to key stakeholders, including letters and email
  • Coordinate and handles agency events/training registrations/CEUs
  • Maintain memberships
  • Update PGNOhio.org website
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Through appreciation and acceptance of, and commitment to, diversity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to use sound judgement
  • Thorough appreciation and acceptance of, and commitment to, diversity.
  • Good management and interpersonal skills to coordinate workload and demonstrate dependability in meeting deadlines and coordinating tasks
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, scheduling and presentation software
  • Must demonstrate reliable and consistent work habits, enthusiasm, active observation, and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug testing

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant, or willing to pursue certification
  • Experience in maintaining and managing websites
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and/or web browser software
  • Experience with event planning and management
  • Experience writing, editing, and proofreading
