How to Obtain Your GAMB Endorsement
Chemical dependency counselors interest in treating disordered gambling, must have the preliminary gambling certification and be working towards their GAMB endorsement. Requirements for this include 30 continuing education hours of gambling specific education in knowledge of gambling disorder, gambling counseling practice, special issues in gambling treatment, and professionalism in gambling treatment. Upon receiving gambling specific training, counselors may begin to see clients with gambling disorder. Counselors must have 100 hours of gambling disorder clinical experience and 4 hours of supervision in order to complete all GAMB requirements.
PGNO is here to help you complete your GAMB endorsement. Through our Gambling Disorder Training Stages, you will be able to receive 30 quality hours of gambling specific education, from an overview of gambling disorder and Ohio's treatment services to treatment method and specialty topics presented by field experts. We also offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year to receive supervision on your clinical cases and advice on how to fulfill your 100 hour requirement through our Gambling Counselor Supervision Series.
