Problem Gambling Prevention

Lifetime problem gambling rates are highest in college, followed by adolescents. This evidence-based gambling prevention curriculum, designed for high school students, has shown significant and sustained changes among young people in their attitude toward gambling. In six sessions, covered over a two-to-three week period, Stacked Deck uses math, decision-making, and problem-solving to prevent the onset of gambling issues among youth.

Risky Business is a six-session gambling prevention intervention for at-risk youth populations. Each session lasts one hour, and topics include:

Get Set Before You Bet is Ohio’s nationally recognized campaign. The campaign is designed to provide education and to grow awareness of how to keep gambling fun for those who gamble, and how to get help for those who need it. Get Set Before You Bet resources include the Quiz and the Community Toolkit, where the statewide campaign can be customized for a local community.
