Gambling Disorder Case Presentation Webinar
This case presentation will highlight the success of the Warm Transfer project. The Warm Transfer project is an innovative program developed in partnership with Ohio for Responsible Gambling, Problem Gambling Network of Ohio, and United Way of Greater Cleveland. Warm Transfer allows callers to the Ohio Problem Gambling Helpline to speak with a trained gambling clinician to receive resources and information on treatment.
This session will highlight the success of Warm Transfer with a case of partnership between operation and treatment. Ed Dick, Compliance Manager at JACK Casino & Racino, will discuss employee training and the importance of responsible gambling before describing an encounter with a patron whom he was able to refer to Warm Transfer. Ken Buzzelli, LICDC-GAMB, LISW, the counselor involved, will then discuss how he's engaged this individual and the steps they've made toward behavior change.
Michael Buzzelli, Associate Director of PGNO, will end the session by highlighting the Ohio Model and the importance of collaboration in helping those in need.
1.50 CEUs are available for this webinar. Problem Gambling Network of Ohio is an approved continuing education provider through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board, the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board, and the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board.
